I also was diagnosed with Sjogren's this last winter - just a few months before turning 40. Part of hours at the dentist office is what uncovered this - (have had to work on my attitude with dentists and other uneducated-sjogren comments in the professional world).... Sounds like your discovery was a bit more dramatic than mine, yet it has been quite a journey. We, too, are in the midst of adopting - from China. I would love to hear more about what you have learned about both journeys in your life. What did you learn from this rhuematologist you traveled to? What have been your best resources on 1. sjogren's and 2. bringing your children home?Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09429009003840457475noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-812704315196029497.post-18508454707970807782012-04-02T17:29:28.042+03:002012-04-02T17:29:28.042+03:00I just watched the US Women's National Soccer ...I just watched the US Women's National Soccer Team play and they had a special on Shannon Boxx. She is an amazing soccer player and I believe she has Sjogren's. I do not fully recall her origninal diagnosis, but her illness turned into Lupus. She is an amazing inspiration. She has dealt with the fatigue and joint issues and still plays on the #1 team in the world! You will beat this disease. While watching this, I thought of you!Heidi Winklernoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-812704315196029497.post-86370649560522236552012-03-29T19:14:10.284+03:002012-03-29T19:14:10.284+03:00How about, "Thanks, but I prefer to focus on ...How about, "Thanks, but I prefer to focus on the explosive medical advances that we have made over the last 100 years rather than focusing on negatives that haven't even come to pass..."Shanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09502370958953479059noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-812704315196029497.post-49348836297193727272012-03-27T20:42:42.687+03:002012-03-27T20:42:42.687+03:00After my 6 yr old was told to quit crying at the o...After my 6 yr old was told to quit crying at the orthodontist office because she would scare the other little kids....I looked around and said she is the little kid. And I made sure they put a note in her folder that she was not to have the tech ever again. Momma Bear came outAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
